Acer palmatum 'Nancy Ann' Japanese Maple

About Our Sizes

My mother chose this tree as a tree worthy of introduction into the collection of maples and I have named this tree ‘Nancy Ann’ in honor of her. 'Nancy Ann' began as a Toyama Nishiki reversion, losing all variegation. As the tree matured we observed bright pink spring color followed by a copper tone and then to pale green. Lovely slow growth habit produces an open curving form. The surprise came as the older bark changed from pale green to a golden yellow. Slow growing, though not difficult, best color in partial shade.
