ACER palmatum Ojishi

A smaller, more compact version of 'Shishigashira', the leaves are less curled, though internodes are very close. Upright form with multiple stiff branches covered with leaves. The name means 'male lion'. In the fall with the golden-yellow leaves you can imagine the lion's mane. Very slow growing, excellent heat tolerance. Perfect for bonsai or rock gardens.
