ACER palmatum Otome zakura

One of the spring color types known as the flowering maples, this tree is a brilliant scarlet red in the spring slowly changing to a brick red and then medium green for summer. Fall is red with orange and yellow. Small leaves and a lovely fine branching structure with wide, open upright form make this tree an excellent choice for either container or bonsai. Needs protection from late frosts.
