Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Snowkist'

This upright pyramidal bush has creamy-yellow variegations among the deep rich green foliage, mainly on the edge of the fans. It supposedly is a sport off 'Tonia'. However, I have seen very little difference. Supposedly 'Snowkist' is slower and smaller, but not in my collection. Both are very attractive. However, by coincidence I have had plants from both varieties lose the variegation after several years, with the resultant plant being a dense dark green specimen, very similar to 'Nana Gracilis'. 'Snowkist' was introduced by Wm. Goddard of Flora Vista Nursery in Victoria, BC. Zone 5 Form Pyramidal (Conical) Size Dwarf
