ACER palmatum Beni hoshi-Ruby Stars

Also known as 'Ruby Stars', spring emergence is ruby red on this small upright tree changing to a deep red in summer. As summer progresses the vein on the small star shaped leaves slowly suffuses with green creating texture and depth. Open habit and somewhat angular structure and green bark. Slow growing, though not difficult, a wonderful tree for a small garden or container.
