ACER palmatum Aoyagi

Pea green bark and pale green leaves are wonderful to contrast with a conifer or lighten a dark corner. Frequently used with coral bark, "Sango Kaku" for winter bark interest.Large, upright and open in form, clear yellow in fall. Some consider this tree synonymous to "Ukon". My observation has been that "Ukon" is considerably slower and smaller.
