Acer Shirasawanum 'Sensu' Japanese Maple

About Our Sizes

Long distinctly separate lobes emerge salmon pink in spring and slowly change to a pale green with an orange blush and tip. Crimson seeds appear above the leaf in summer. Fall brings deep orange. 'Sensu' means moving fan describing the graceful movement of the pendulous branches in the wind. Needs protection from hot afternoon sun. An excellent alternative to 'Omure yama' in colder climates.
