Acer Palmatum Bihou

I first saw this tree in the southeast in October. The yellow bark with an overcast of orange is beautiful, like no other maple I've ever seen. The buds emerge red unfolding a green leaf, changing to yellow with specks of orange for fall. A vigorous, upright growing tree with good sun tolerance. Beautiful in combination with any of the red bark maples to create a stunning winter interest in the garden.
